this place was hard to find. protip in soi phiphat (coming from silom road) you turn left immediately on the first tiny alley to the left (after you pass a "the fifth" signage, street level) and that's where you'll find this hostel hidden. if you see qilombo hostel, you've already walked passed it. took me 20min to find. they have a communal kitchenette with fridge and microwave, and a "bar" eating area in the lobby. there was free internet. hostel policy is to leave shoes before going up to the rooms, if you have expensive shoes/sandals, i'd take it in a shoebag to the room if i were you. THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS even if there are 4 floors and if you're traveling with a big check-in type luggage like me, it's quite dangerous hauling it all the way up because the stairs are narrow, steep and has NO BANISTER/ HANDRAILS!!! the communal toilet on the 3rd floor was shady. the middle shower cubicle was clogged and the floor floods because it drains really slow. the shower tile grout were also moldy. the main door of the whole bathroom is also broken, i've seen many people get locked in there including myself because instead of swinging the handle down to open it, you had to swing it up - which no one ever thinks of doing because it's not normal. the pillowcase, bedsheet and duvet of my bunk bed had a lot of short fine hair upon arrival. unsure if/how they were washing their linens. there were also 3 small suspicious bugs crawling on the pillow and bed - they looked like hair lice or something, not sure what they were but they were not ants. my head suddenly became super itchy though after the second day and i eventually bought and used medicated lice shampoo 4 days later (after i already left) because the severe all-day itchiness was not going away and i had no idea what happened. i think the cleanliness of the sheets, mattress and bed area in general need a lot of improvement. other than that the location was good, it's across the street from a post office and a 1 minute walk to a lailaisap - it's like a street food market. there are stalls selling food, fruit, clothes, random knickknacks, etc. the hostel is a 7min walk to the sala daeng BTS and 9min walk to the silom subway. along the way to the BTS you'll pass a 7-11 and a bigger supermarket i forget the name, you go down a long escalator, it's under this big office building. there's also a donki donki under the BTS (across the street). to go to the airport it was i think around thb 26 silom subway to makkasan, then thb 37 airport train from makkasan to airport. airport trains only work 5:30am-midnight.

This place is a scam. They refused a refund and kept referring to arbitrary policies. The receptionist was terrible, and extremely unhelpful and not knowledgeable. She probably can't even problem solve her way our of a shoe box. Terrible unethical and a waste of time. Avoid at all costs

Great Location, Clean Hostel

I have stayed with this hostel 3 times. One in 2018, another one in June 2023, and recently in September 2023. I can tell that the shoes area at level 1 is improved. There are no more stinky smell at this area. Also the hostel is still secured with the access card?that you need to tap to enter the property, the area that leads to the rooms, and the door to your room. They also provide lockers which can fit your normal carry-on luggage/ trolley. (Though I havent tried if it can fit the medium-sized check-in luggage). The toilets and bath are clean, and maintained everyday from 2pm to 3pm. During my stay, I also never ran out of toilet papers. They also have hair dryer on all bathrooms. The rooms are also clean and doesn’t have any smell that some hostels might have. The room has also a ceiling fan provided. I also wanted to thank the staff for helping me retrieve my slides as it was used by another guest during my stay. So just a tip, if you have expensive footwear, place it on a carrier and bring it to your room, please make sure it it clean and free from any unpleasant smell. Overall, I will still consider BRB in my future stays as this has place has improved and great location with 24/7 reception.

I'm traveling solo in Bangkok for two months and I have stayed in this hostel for one month. The price is reasonable and the accommodation is very convenient for traveler who seeks a visit around the BKK downtown area.

The hostel is a minimal style with quirky decorations, I loved the yellow, black white and grey colour scheme. The shared bathrooms were very clean and the showers were spacious and everything looked very new. The location is perfect, close to Lumpini park and two different metro lines. Very easy to get to the airport for my flight. There is a lot of shared space downstairs to use the internet, kitchen facilities and hang out. The security was very good too and the staff were friendly and helpful with printing flight documents, directions to shops I needed to visit and I was upgraded to a private room for both nights of my stay, even though there was only an issue with the first night booking. Khap kuhn kra BRB!
